Competitor price monitoring for Swiss retailers

Competitor prices change every day, at the big online shops and at the store next door. 4pricing watches the product pages you add, shows the price history and the lowest price, and gives you a recommended price that you apply yourself.

Everything you need to track competitor prices in Switzerland

4pricing checks competitor prices in the shops you add by product page URL, for the products you choose, at intervals from one hour upward. You get an alert on the first check that detects a change, the price history is kept, and an algorithm (not generative AI) calculates a recommended price. You decide what to change in your shop. Examples of shops: Digitec, Galaxus, Brack, Interdiscount, Migros, Manor or Coop.

Automatic price checks at the interval you set

  • You add competitor shops by product page URL; Digitec, Galaxus, Brack, Interdiscount, Migros, Manor and Coop are examples, not a fixed list
  • No need to check competitor pages by hand
  • You set the interval per product, from one hour upward
  • Your entire catalog, regardless of size

An alert on the first check that catches a change

  • An alert as soon as a check finds that a competitor changed a price
  • You hear within the interval you set, not the next day
  • Each alert is tied to a tracked product and competitor page
  • An alert webhook can pass the change on to your own system

A recommended price calculated by an algorithm

  • The algorithm compares your price with the competitor prices you track
  • It suggests a competitive price: a calculation, not generative AI
  • The decision is yours: use the suggestion or ignore it
  • Nothing changes automatically in your shop; you apply the price yourself

Competitor price history, kept

  • Every detected price change, with its exact timestamp
  • History per product and per competitor page
  • See whether a drop was brief or lasting
  • Plan sales periods with real price data

Add products and competitor pages by URL

  • Paste the product URL from your shop and the one from each competitor
  • Any online shop can be added by its URL
  • You decide which competitor page is followed for each product
  • Correct or remove a tracked page at any time

API keys and an alert webhook

  • With API keys you read your price data in your own tools
  • The alert webhook sends changes to an endpoint you choose
  • You set up the connection to your own tools yourself
  • Handy for your own dashboards and scripts

Your price next to the recommended price

  • See your current price beside the recommended one
  • A recommendation changes nothing on its own: you decide, and you apply the price in your shop
  • No automatic price changes in your shop
  • Only the competitors you track are compared

An alert when you are no longer the cheapest

  • Find out when a tracked competitor drops below your price
  • Based on the competitor pages you added
  • The recommended price to get back ahead is a suggestion, not an instruction
  • Your position against each tracked shop, product by product
Briefing and opportunities

Daily briefing and opportunities

On top of monitoring, 4pricing prepares a briefing every day: what moved at your competitors, where you can raise a price without losing your position, where your margin is thinning and what is worth doing first. Every finding comes with the evidence it was built from and, where there is a basis for it, an estimated monthly value.

What the daily briefing contains

  • Opportunities: products where you can raise the price, or competitors that ran out of stock
  • Margin risks: prices below cost or below the minimum margin you set
  • Category campaigns, price wars and aggressive discounts seen at competitors
  • Assortment gaps, from the brand or category lists you follow
  • You see it in the panel inbox; it reaches a webhook only if you switch it on and set the destination

Where the amounts come from

  • The monthly value is computed only from your own shop's sales, which you send through the API
  • Without sales we do not invent a number: you see “—”
  • Sometimes a “market estimate, low confidence” appears, labelled separately; it is never added to the sales-based figure
  • Amounts are indicative, not a profit guarantee

How your price changes

  • You see the recommended price and the reason for it; nothing is sent
  • You check the recommendation against your cost, your minimum margin and your market position
  • If the price has moved in the meantime, check again before you apply it
  • A recommendation is a proposal: the decision to change the price stays with you

Sales go in, approved prices come out

  • You send daily sales per product through the API, up to 2,000 rows per request
  • An approved price reaches your system through a signed webhook (price.apply) and you confirm after applying it
  • A recommendation becomes a price only when you apply it manually, in your system or shop
  • There are no ready-made connectors for other platforms

Your price changes only when you apply it manually, and the webhook goes only to the destination you set.

Price API and webhooksAPI documentation for developers

Use price data in your own systems

4pricing gives you the data through a REST API (with API keys), an alert webhook and a CSV or Excel export. There are no ready-made connectors for ERP, WMS or marketplaces: what happens with the data is built by your own team or developers.

REST API & webhook — price data for your own systems

All data collected by 4pricing is available through a documented REST API: current competitor price per product, complete price history and algorithm-driven recommended price.

The signed webhook sends an HTTP notification on alerts. 4pricing does not write prices into your shop or your ERP: you apply the recommended price yourself, manually. There are no ready-made connectors.

Add products by URL and export to CSV — ready in minutes

You add products by pasting the product-page URL, one link at a time. You decide which product pages — yours and your competitors' — are watched.

CSV or Excel export runs on demand, in one click from the dashboard, with the complete price history. If you need a fixed cadence, call the same export from the REST API and schedule it with your own cron.

Digitec, Galaxus & Co. — your price position across monitored shops

4pricing tracks the price shown by every online shop on your list, the same way for each one, and places it next to your other competitors for the same product. When a competitor undercuts you, or when you are no longer the cheapest among the monitored shops, the alert reaches you at the next check, together with the recommended price to get back in front.

You choose the shops: add any online shop by its product URL and set a different check interval per product. Coverage includes shops such as Digitec, Galaxus, Brack, Interdiscount, Migros, Manor and Coop, but we do not guarantee that every shop can be read. There are no ready-made connectors.

Price intelligence for every retail vertical

4pricing monitors competitors and calculates a recommended price for online retailers in Switzerland in electronics, appliances, cosmetics, sport, DIY and more. By default we cover Digitec, Galaxus, Brack, Interdiscount, Migros, Manor and Coop. You add the shops you monitor by product-page URL and pick the check interval per product.

Electronics and IT

Electronics and IT

Laptops, smartphones, PC components and peripherals: the categories with the strongest price moves between Digitec, Galaxus and Brack. Without automated monitoring, you only learn that a competitor became cheaper when your sales drop.

You set the check interval per product, from hourly. For this vertical we recommend hourly checks on your key items and a less frequent check on the rest of the catalogue.

Large and small appliances

Large and small appliances

Fridges, washing machines, vacuum cleaners, coffee machines: predictable promotional cycles (Black Friday and the Christmas season) and direct competition between Interdiscount, Migros and Digitec.

The stored price history shows whether a discount was real. You see when a competitor raised its price before Black Friday and when it came back down.

Cosmetics and personal care

Cosmetics and personal care

Categories with many sellers and variable margins. Following the same product at Migros, Manor and Coop shows who is really cheapest after promotions and volume discounts.

For this vertical, picking the exact product page at each competitor is critical (same size, same contents), because cosmetics come in variants that are not always obvious from the title. You decide which product pages are watched.

Sports and fitness

Sports and fitness

Equipment, clothing and sports accessories with pronounced seasonality. Anticipating end-of-season price cuts is decisive for your margin.

The stored price history shows the trend, so you know when the sales start and can react before your competitors do.

DIY and garden

DIY and garden

Tools, building materials, garden furniture — competition from DIY chains and online marketplaces. Strong spring-summer seasonality creates premium pricing opportunities when demand is high.

4pricing shows you when competitors raise their prices seasonally, so you can do the same without losing competitive position.

Automotive and motorcycle

Automotive and motorcycle

Car parts, accessories and consumables: a fragmented market with many niche sellers. Following prices at online parts shops lets you position correctly on steady-demand items.

There are many part numbers and prices move slowly, so you can choose a longer interval and save credits. An alert at the first check that catches a change still reaches you.

Toys and children's products

Toys and children's products

Concentrated seasonality (Christmas, Easter) with heavy price pressure at peak. Short-interval checks decide, on the busiest days, whether the sale lands with you or with the competitor.

During peak weeks a price can change several times a day. Hourly checks on seasonal products mean you see the change first.

Books, stationery and office supplies

Books, stationery and office supplies

The start of the school year (August) and year-end shopping create demand peaks. Following prices at bookshops and online stores helps you position yourself at the key moments of the year.

Outside campaign periods this category has the most stable prices: 4pricing alerts you only when a real move happens, without filling your inbox.

What it is

What is 4pricing.net

4pricing.net is a price tracker for online sellers who want to know how their prices compare with their competitors. You add the product pages you want to follow by their public URL, and you choose how often each product is checked, from every hour. You get an alert the first time a check detects a competitor's price change, plus a recommended price calculated by the algorithm, which you review and apply yourself.

What you can do with 4pricing

  • Track competitor product pages by URL
  • Get an alert when a tracked price changes
  • Compare the recommended price with your own price
  • Keep a price history for each competitor
  • Track product pages by URL from Swiss shops such as Digitec, Galaxus, Brack, Interdiscount, Migros, Manor or Coop

Advantages

  • No manual checking: prices are monitored automatically at the interval you set
  • You add products by pasting their public page URL, one at a time
  • The recommended price is calculated by the algorithm and shown next to your price
  • Export and API access for your own tools
  • For example, if Helvexa lists a product at €118.00 and Alpenara at €109.00, you see the €9.00 gap next to your own price

Limitations

4pricing only sees what is publicly visible on the product page. Nothing changes in your store unless you decide to apply a price.

  • Tracking works on public product pages only, not on private or logged-in pages
  • The recommended price is a suggestion; you decide whether to apply it
  • Results depend on the pages you add: follow the product pages you want to compare

How it works (3 steps)

Add your products

Paste the links to the product pages, yours and your competitors', one by one.

Monitoring runs automatically

The system checks prices at the interval you set for each product, from one hour up, and alerts you when a change is detected.

Decide with the facts

Review the recommended price and the competitor history, then apply the price you choose, by hand.

Comparison with other ways of checking prices

Automated monitoring with 4pricing compared with checking competitor prices by hand.
