How do I compare prices for the same product across stores?
A correct comparison starts from exactly the same product — the same variant, not a similar model. Instead of opening six tabs and comparing from memory, you can search by name across six Romanian stores or paste the links of the pages you choose and see the prices side by side.
Short answer
- You search the product by name or paste the product-page link from a store.
- You make sure it is exactly the same variant: capacity, colour, model.
- You line up the prices from eMAG, Altex, Flanco, PC Garage, Evomag and Cel.ro, and for other stores you add the links yourself.
- You compare price and stock, then check shipping in the cart of the store you pick.
- In 4pricing you group the same products manually, and the comparison shows you the cheapest store.
By stage (short answer)
- Type the product name or paste the link from the store where you found it.
- Check the variant is identical — do not compare 128GB with 256GB.
- Read the price, the stock and the difference versus the best offer.
- Confirm the final price with shipping in the chosen store’s cart.
Practical example
Example: you found a phone on one site. You copy the link and add it to 4pricing, then add the link of the same variant, same capacity and same colour, from another retailer. You put them in the same group and see which is cheaper and whether it is in stock. You track exactly the pages you chose, so you do not confuse similar variants.
Common mistakes
- Comparing different variants (capacity, colour) and thinking one is cheaper.
- Looking only at price, not stock — the lowest price with no stock is worthless.
- Ignoring shipping, which can cancel out a price difference.
What each shortcut in the comparison costs you
| The mistake | The consequence |
|---|---|
| Comparing different variants | Capacity or colour differs, so it is not the same product. |
| Looking only at the price | The lowest price with no stock is worthless. |
| Ignoring shipping | It can wipe out the price difference entirely. |
How 4pricing helps
- You track the exact product page you chose, at each store; reading the price depends on what the page exposes.
- A group holds your product and the competitors you add by link; matching is manual, not automatic.
- The comparison shows the competitors’ minimum, maximum, average and median, the cheapest store and your position; out-of-stock stores are left out of the calculation.
- From the panel you reach the store page directly, so you go from comparison to purchase.
